Your Yosemite Giant Sequoia Tour begins on your outbound day with a pickup at your hotel, then heads east crossing through California’s fertile San Joaquin Valley and into the rocky Sierra Nevada mountains.
Your heart (and cameras) will be racing as you enter Yosemite Valley and enjoy a stop at Tunnel View. Take a few moments for fantastic photos with El Capitan, Half Dome and Bridalveil Falls as your backdrop.
Your free and unguided time begins after leaving the vehicle at Stop #7 (Valley Lodge) to spend a few hours enjoying the Yosemite Valley’s many attractions. As the afternoon gets late, you will want to get on the YARTS bus and make your way tocheck into the Bug Lodge.
Hostel dormitories at the Bug Lodge have new beds, lockers, shower amenities and linens included. Very nice and very clean, these are usually two rooms sharing two baths and two showers.The Bug and as a guest kitchen, an outdoor deck with tables and chairs. In-room phones and TV are not available.
Take one or more days to enjoy the park before your return day. In spring and summer choose from hiking, biking, rock climbing, rafting, fishing or nighttime stargazing (activities not included).
In winter, check with the park rangers toarrange winter hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, tubing or ice skating (activities depend on conditions and are not included).

On your return day to San Francisco, meet our tour vehicle at Stop #7 (Valley Lodge) at the time in our confirmation email.
After boarding the vehicle for the trip back to San Francisco, the highlight of our tour is still ahead as we head to the Tuolumne Grove of Giant Sequoias. In this beautiful grove, you’ll have the chance to get up close and personal with some of the largest and oldest trees on earth. You won’t doubt for a second that these are the largest living creatures on the planet. No picture does them justice but that should not keep you from trying!
In winter, when conditions on the Tuolumne Grove trail are snow covered or unsafe, we substitute this experience with other attractions.

Special Notes- Please arrive at the pick-up location 10-15 minutes prior to the requested pick-up time.
- As a courtesy to fellow passengers, it's important to be on time. If clients are late or miss a scheduled pick-up time for the tour, please contact our office IMMEDIATELY. An alternative pick-up location may be arranged at the customer's expense, subject to availability. Any guest who misses their tour entirely will forfeit their seat on the tour. No refunds will be issued.
- For child under 8 years old:
Please note that for your child's safety, we require you to bring a child safety seat or booster seat for all children that are not at least 8 years of age or 4' 9" or 144 cm in height as dictated by California State Law. You will be required to provide your own child seat on all motor vehicle tours. Failure to provide a seat for your child will result in forfeiture of your seats on the tour without refund. If your child is 8 years or older or 4’9” in height you do not need to provide a child seat, however, please let us know. - We will assess a cleaning fee of up to $100 for any passenger who permanently stains or renders this vehicle temporarily unfit for passengers due to spillage of any substance such that the vehicle must be taken out of service and cleaned.
- As the hotel availability is easily sold out, please book your tour at least 30 days prior to departure day.
- We will always do what we can to make your trip enjoyable, but safety is our first priority so the route and the itinerary may be changed due to snow depth, road conditions, construction projects and detours. The giant sequoias hike on the Yosemite tour is dependent on snow levels and trail conditions from October to April.
- Customers are allowed up to two items (ie. one personal item + one carry-on) to travel free of charge. These items must be within the size limitations. Each additional item above the allowance will incur a $50.00 excess luggage fee. Maximum Dimensions for Luggage - Carry on size: 22”x14”x9”, (or 56cm x 36cm x 23 cm). Any Oversize luggage larger than the maximum size noted is $50 regardless of personal items brought on board. (i.e. 1 Oversized Luggage - $50, 2 Oversized pieces = $100). We ask overnight guests to contact us at least 48 hrs in advance to inform us about additional and/or oversize luggage.
- The time we mentioned in the itinerary is for reference only. Please refer to your guide on tour for the actual arrangement. The visiting order and duration might be changed according to actual and practical situation for better service.
