About Charlton

The Massachusetts town features many historical buildings as well as the scenic Buffumville Lake. Charlton was incorporated in 1775 after separating from nearby Oxford. Notable sites are Buffumville Lake, Grave of John "Grizzly" Adams, Rider Tavern, John Spurr House, No. 2 Schoolhouse, Northside Village Historic District and the Overlook Hotel.
