This Northern Hungarian city is situated along the Danube River near the country's border with Slovakia. Esztergom was settled by the Celts back in 350 B.C. and was the capital of Hungary from the 10th to the 13 century. It is home to Hungary's largest cathedral with Esztergom Basilica and is the seat of the Hungarian Catholic Church.
