Honfleur is a gem! This charming little maritime town holds a rich history of art and culture. Located on the Seine estuary in Normandy, it inspired impressionist painters such as Monet, Courbet and Boudin. The port town enamors tourists with its narrow streets, old houses, art galleries and museums, which make it one of the most visited towns in France. Be sure to visit St. Catherine’s Church (made entirely of wood), the Maritime museum and the Vieux-Bassin (or old dock) while you walk in the impressionists’ footsteps.
