About Puerto Madryn

Capital of the Biedma Department of Argentina, Puerto Madryn rests within Argentine Patagonia and right on the Golfo Nuevo. One of the most attractive cities to visit in Patagonia, it boats a new commercial shopping center and easy access to Patagonia. There are a variety of activities to enjoy while visiting Puerto Madryn, including whale watching, a day trip to see Punta Tombo's Penguins, scuba diving, Puerto Madryn tours of the city's main attractions, and a variety of wildllife tours. Originally named by 150 Welsh immigrants in 865, the city is named after Sir Love Jones-Parry who owned the Madryn Estate in Wales.
