The village of Tannersville resides in Pocono Township, Pennsylvania. Tannersville was founded in 1750 by John Larner and was first called Pocono Point. Tannersville is known for its historic Native American trails that were later widened for stagecoaches; two of the most famous of these trails are Lackawanna Trail and Learned's Trail. Tannersville is also home to the Camelback Ski Area and Camelbeach Waterpark.
