Wurzburg is a city in the region of Franconia, Northern Bavaria, Germany. The home of powerful prince-bishops for many centuries, Wurzburg's main attraction is the Residence, a crowning glory of baroque architecture. Wurzburg is also home to one of the oldest churches in Germany, and famous for its delicate wines. Much of Wurzburg was rebuilt after WWII, during which many historic structures were destroyed by bombings.
